Unit 7 seminar • Welcome to Unit 7 Seminar !!! • Project 3 due at the end of this unit, submitted to the Dropbox by Tuesday, midnight ET • Questions ??? • Chapter 11: Rehabilitation, Treatment, and Job Training • Explain the term Rehabilitation. • What is meant by Targeting Cognitive Skills? What are some examples of this type of Rehabilitation?

Unit 7 seminar • What is meant by Anger Management ? • What are some examples of Life Skills Training? • Do these Rehabilitation techniques effectively and positively change future offender behavior? Why or why not? • Explain the term Treatment. • Discuss how drug offenders are treated in prison and out of prison.

  4. Unit 7 seminar • Discuss how sex offenders are treated in prison and out of prison. • Do Treatment strategies work? Do they create a positive change in future criminal behavior? • Is it possible to treat and rehabilitate all offenders or are some simply beyond treatment and rehabilitation? Why? • Explain the various education and vocational training programs currently used with convicted criminals. • Are these programs effective? Why or why not?
