Part-Time Faculty Assignment Process - Fall Term Orientation 2013

Part-Time Faculty Assignment Process – Fall Term 2013 Email sent to PT Faculty with link to the PT Faculty Assignments Preference Form Email sent to notify PT Faculty of their assignments PT Faculty Assignments Preference Form is submitted electronically to the Chair/Associate Dean 12th Week of Term 3/25 – 3/29 2nd Week of Term 1/14 – 1/18 3rd Week of Term 1/21 – 1/25 4th Week of Term – Friday 2/1 - 5:00 Between the 5th and 8th Weeks of Term 2/4 – 3/1 10th Week of Term 3/11 – 3/15 Assignments are made by the Chairs/Associate Deans PT Faculty member sends an acceptance email no later than 12thweek of the term Email reminder sent to PT Faculty The purpose of the Part-Time Faculty Assignment Process is to ensure that part-time faculty are scheduled in a consistent manner across the college, that course assignments are made early in the scheduling process, appropriate coverage of classes is achieved, and adequate time is provided for faculty preparation.
