This study explores the cleavage reactions involving WO42- and H2O2 at different temperatures (60°C, 80°C, 90°C, 100°C) and reaction times (10 hrs, 24 hrs). The yields of acetic acid and other products are assessed under varying conditions, including the presence of acids (H+, H3PO4) and bases (NaOH, KOH). Additional reactions involving glycerol and BF3·Et2O reveal the formation of a sticky, rubber-like polymer. The findings provide insight into optimal conditions for achieving higher yields in chemical transformations.
