Cleavage & Implantation • Cleavage occurs within a day or two as it travels down the oviduct. • Reaches uterus as a solid ball of cells; morula. • Morula is transformed into blastocyst. • 6-7 days after fertilization-implantation at the endometrium lining. • Inner cell mass of the blastocyst is transformed into an embryonic disk that will develop into the embryo within the next week.
