  1. A Work Breakdown Structure is an organized framework used to break down a project into logical subdivisions or subprojects at lower and lower levels of detail. Specifically, a WBS is a product-oriented family tree composed of hardware, software, services, data and facilities. A WBS displays and defines the product, or products, to be developed and/or produced. It relates the elements of work to be accomplished to each other and to the end product. Revised Work Breakdown Structure for the GPS Receiver Requirement Tasks: • Review the current “Program” Work Breakdown Structure (3 levels) in the attached power point slide. • Given the added functionality and requirements for the GPS capability, including the air vehicle and ground segments, determine what new components must be added to the architecture to perform those functions. • Revise the existing WBS to include the GPS Receiver requirement (go to at least level 5). • Save your Revised Work Breakdown Structure using your team number in the file name (do not use the # symbol). • Post your work to the Revised WBS activity within (1) your team’s forum and (2) the section forum. We may review your team’s chart during the activity debrief.
