  2. Dates of conception BBC- John Reith created the British broadcasting corporation in 1922 and was there when it became a public company in 1927. SONY- in 1946 Masaru Ibuku started a small electronics company in Tokyo, the company become Tokyo tsushinkogyowhen his college Akio morita joined the production, they were the first company to sell tape recorders in japan.

  3. how the company runs BBC is funded by a mandatory TV licence that tax payers have to pay £140.50 a year for access to the bbc website and all their channels. SONY is an multinational conglomerate that makes its money through various means: like selling products such as the ps4 or the Sony fridge or other electronic devices that they make, they also have a film studio which produces films. They are a PLC company and make extra money by selling shares

  6. Departments within the BBC The royal charter- the BBC is established under a royal charter, the current charter came into form in 2007 and will disband in 2016. It recognizes BBCs editorial independence and sets out its own public purpose. BBC trust- the BBC trust is the governing body of the BBC and make sure it sticks to its mission- informing and entertaining the public, the BBC trust is led by dianecoyle- the acting chairman- and consisting of 12 trustees, the trust is a separate entity form the executive board. The executive board- the executive board is in charge of the BBC and is responsible for putting out the BBCs content in accordance with its mission- informing and entertaining the public. The director general- Tony Hall- is in charge of the executive board.

  9. Sony products Sony sell almost any technology based items that humans have thought of, including: DVDs, fridges, the playstations, cameras, TVs, sterio systems, tablets, phones, computers and watches

Major events within BBC and Sony Sony have bought out and merged with many businesses over the year argueably there biggest acheivment is the play station systems especilly the playstation 4 which was recently released BBC have had a pretty innovative history, which is pretty positive but recently BBC has become a more ominous organisation especially with the jimmy savillescandel happening.

  11. Sony turnovers Sony make massive profits every year in every corner of the world with its profits even taking over Nintendo in game system sales. All of sonys profits go back into dividends or go back into the business- to help it grow.
