  1. Step by Step Guide to Using theGlucoSim Simulator Michael Addis

  2. Simulator Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) is a screening test for diabetes This tool on this website can not be used to give diagnosis The tool makes simulations that compares diabetic to a non diabetic blood glucose levels after the OGTT solely based on weight* *weight can be entered in pounds (lb) or kilogram (kg)

  3. GlucoSim Home This tool helps non-diabetic people create simulations on their glucose-insulin levels

  4. Healthy model *Converting am/pm to 24hr format 12am-12pm 01:00-12:00 1pm-12am 13:00-00:00 Enter carbohydrate content of meals and snacks in grams Enter meal and snack times in 24 hours format* Enter weight amount Choose weight unit between Kilogram (kg) and pound (lb) Enter the duration for simulation in hours After you have entered the above values click on Execute simulation

  5. Multiple insulin injection • This tool incorporates insulin shots into the simulations of glucose-insulin levels for people with Diabetes 1 • This model compared to the healthy model has 3 additional inputs • time of injection • insulin type and dose • duration of exercise

  6. Diabetes Mellitus Model Up to this point the multiple insulin injection it the same as the Healthy model Enter the times of insulin shots in 24 hr format Enter insulin dosage amounts in units of insulin with the corresponding time Choose between short and longterm acting insulin Enter exercise start time in 24 hr format Choose exercise duration from the scroll menu After entering the above values click Execute simulation
