  2. Elliot Erwitt’s Biography • To begin, his style is Street Photography. He is a very good photographer • Elliot Erwitt was born in Paris, France on the 26th of July, 1928. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. at the age of ten. He then studied photography and filmmaking at Los Angeles City College and the New School for Social Research, finishing his wide education in 1950. • His photography career was a good one, he started off serving as a photographer assistant in the 1950s in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany and France. He gained motivation for photography through meeting 3 famous photographers Edward Steichen, Robert Capa and Roy Stryker. Stryker hired Erwitt to work a project for the Standard Oil Company. After this project he began a freelance type of photography career and imported work for Collier’s, Look, Life, and Holiday. Mr. Erwitt has been • His filmmaking career began in the 1970s. His many feature films, documentary films, and television commercials have some of the following “Arthur Penn: the Director” (1970), Beauty Knows No Pain (1971), Red, White and Bluegrass (1973) and the prize winning Glassmakers of Heart, Afghanistan (1977). His filmmaking career was successful, but not as successful as his photography career.

  3. Elliot Erwitt’s Style • Elliot Erwitt’s style of photography is Street photography. (Photos that are consisted of the humans every day life) • Elliot Erwitt would walk around like a normal photgrapher. But he would look for certain things in his photos like an animal…preferably a dog. His photos are very funny and sometimes make you think “What the heck?” • Elliot Erwitt would tell street photographers that they shouldn’t try to make everything perfect, but that they should just take the oicture as it is and then see what they can do to make it better. • He has helped many street photgraphers better their phots through things like take a picture for yourself not for others and your photos will come out great.
