Machine Status • Proton Source Commissioning and Studies • 8/13-8/14: Linac & Booster Maintenance Period • Main Injector • MI30 vacuum • Work continues to resolve the high gas load at MI308 • MI back-fed from Master Sub-Station • KRS T85 work complete, but still using Feeder 45 for MI conventional • Need to schedule a 20 minute MI conventional power outage to remove the back-feed from Master Sub-Station after tunnel work. • SY120 • Neutrino Muon • G2 NM1 berm pipe progressing • Mtest • MC6 magnet replacement

  3. MI 307 to 309 Section 1 Section 2 Section 3

  4. Section 3 • Stable • Holding vacuum • No further work

  5. Section 2 • Contamination • Bellows • Pirani Gauge • Samples sent for testing • Section 2 removed • Cleaning elements and building a new section in parallel • Leak check and reinstall

  6. Section 1 • RGA Scan completed Friday • Did not reveal anything conclusive • Additional baseline scans this morning • Downstream end put under vacuum (not including collimator) • Heated bellows for 30 seconds • Ion pump tripped off. • Section 1 contaminated • Collimator beam pipe will be cleaned in place • Remainder of section replaced.

  7. Neutrino Muon • G2 NM1 Berm Pipe Progress • Status – Welding third set of pipes in enclosure M. Geelhoed 8/16/2013
