  5. 4. Types of Technology - Seven categories 1. Agricultural and Biotechnology – growing food and processing natural fibers.

  6. 2. Communication and Information Technologies – Processing data into information and in communicating ideas and information.

  7. 3. Energy and Power Technologies- Converting and applying energy to power devices and systems • Wave technology

  8. 4. Construction Technology – building structures. Ex. Houses and transportation lines.

  9. 5. Manufacturing Technologies – Convert raw materials into industrial and consumer products.

  10. 6. Medical Technologies – Maintaining health and curing illness.

  11. 7. Transportation Technologies – Moving people and cargo.
