  1. What is a Hero? Is it Within Us, or is it Society’s Judgment? By Sonya Kobayashi

  2. Is there a characteristic that is evident in all heroes? Bravery? Self Sacrifice? Influence? POWER? Or are all heroes different…

  3. Is he a hero? …Or is he? Are they both heroes?

  4. The Reference Dictionary tells us this is a hero: a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.

  5. … but is the definition different for each person? A hero is different for everyone. One person’s hero reflects who they are as people Their heroes sacrifice and fight for the beliefs and values of that person. A bullied girl’s hero must have compassion and a good heart. …like a child psychiatrist.

  6. If you value compassion, your own heroes might be:

  7. …strength

  8. …courage

  9. …sacrifice

  10. …dedication

  11. These people are all someone’s hero.

  12. But who are my heroes?

  13. ..they are people who serve.

  14. …people who sacrifice for the good of others.

  15. …who ask for no thanks

  16. …ask for no glory

  17. and at the end of the day, the onlycomfortthey have will be that…

  18. they are a hero.

  19. However, some move past the idea idols and find the heroism inside themselves. At one time these people might have been your heroes. But you can become the hero by fighting for the same things.

  20. … heroism is within. A hero is merely an idol that has the same values as us. The heroism has always been within ourselves. And the people who once admired their idols have become the idols to be admired.

  21. “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” - Einstien We all must find the strength to be heroes and do good in the world around us.

  22. You can be a hero by changing someone’s life drastically. Or you can be a hero just brightening up someone’s day with a smile.

  23. “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” – Christopher Reeve

  24. Find the heroism in yourself And find the strength to fight for what you believe in.

  25. and you will become the hero
