  1. Equipping by Faith “The righteous shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17; Hebrews 10:38; Habakkuk 2:4; Matthew 14:22-32

  2. Introduction a. Psychology- the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior. It entails the process of growing of an individual from point A to B and so on until life goes back to its Creator.

  3. Introduction b. Life and growth are two faces of the same coin. The absence of one denotes major problem. Thus, life without growth is not living and obviously, growth will not happen unless there was no life in the first place.

  4. Introduction c. In natural process, growing needs combination of vital factors in order that the process will take place. Example, food, water, vitamins and minerals, experiences, love… self-faith or self-esteem.

  5. Introduction d. If being a Christian is “to be born again.” John 3:3-7, then the process of growing must be expected, and it is very important to identify the factors that contribute proper development to utilize them for the desired outcome. Romans 6:4 Faith is one of these factors. Failing to get acquainted to this God given tool is planning to fail in our walk with Christ… It is described, as an arrested development! Ephesians 413-15; 1Peter 2:2; Hebrews 5:12-14

Self-faith or self-esteem –it is an innate attribute important for survival and development. • Genesis 11:1-9; Luke 12:13-21 • Self-gauge mechanism • Focus on self, environment, society and situation. • Decision and action or venture is based on self-faith. • It will stay but must change the focus. II Corinthians 5:17

  7. 2. Saving Faith—Turning point of life. • Ephesians 2:8;4:5 • One time event • Focus on the Savior • The sole cause of rebirth • The starting point of Growth • Without Saving Faith…no life and no growth process to take place.

  8. 3. Sustaining Faith—is a tool we use in our very moment venture with God. • Provides 3:5 • The power to keep going • Focus on The Lord • Decision and action as per invitation of the Lord • Growth happens as per encounter • Must be nurtured by the fruits of the Spirit Galatians 5:5-6;22-23
