  2. The Artful Teapot – Round Body 1. Slump mold – bowl, styrofoam ball, etc 2. Layer with tissue and form clay slab over mold 3. Score and slip a coil on the seam of one half 4. Score and slip the two halves together 5. Trim the extra coil from the sphere 6. Smooth out the surface of the round body

  4. The Artful Teapot – Round Body 7. Spout – cut a strip from a block of clay 8. With the sphere resting on an empty plastic container, attach the base and add decorative elements according to your style 9. Lid - cut a round opening in the top of the sphere and set it aside. In order to have the lid fit only one way, make a small notch in the opening 10. Tissue around the edge to separate & small ball of clay in the notch 11. add a coil of soft clay to fit into the lid opening, slightly overlapping 12. Take the clay piece you removed to make the opening and attach it to the coil

  6. The Artful Teapot – Round Body 13. Flip the lid over and add a ball of clay to the underside of the lid 14. Spout - flatten a cone of clay 15. form a spout around a brush handle 16. Trim the spout and attach it 17. create two “dog bone” shapes and flatten them, leaving some thickness at each end 18. Add a handle to the lid
