In his address on April 27, 2011, Dr. James R. Ramsey, President of the University of Louisville, articulated a public agenda focused on increasing economic opportunity and improving quality of life in Kentucky. He highlighted UofL's commitment to becoming a premier, nationally recognized metropolitan research university. Despite challenges, Ramsey emphasized successes in increasing degrees awarded, graduation rates, and research funding while advocating for innovative strategies to enhance student services and partnerships in the face of economic pressures.
