Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty. This much we pledge. . . The trumpet summons us to. . A struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease and war itself. . And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
