Welcome to a new class! Please ensure all electronic devices are powered off and stored away. Today’s agenda includes distributing and discussing essential class rules, policies, and parent information sheets. We'll also start our "Getting to Know You" activity. A bit about me: I'm a Mexican girl from El Paso, TX, with roots in a Mexican-Catholic home. I attended an all-girls Catholic school and graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor's and Master's. I'm excited to get to know all of you!

  2. Today’s Agenda: • Distribute and discuss important info regarding class rules/policies and parent info sheets. • Begin “Getting to Know You” activity.

Answers to Commonly Asked Questions About Me: • I am a Mexican girl from El Paso, TX who grew up in a Mexican- Catholic home. • Both of my parents were born in Mexico. • I am of the Caucasian race. (White) • I attended an all-girls Catholic school. • UTEP alumna: Bachelor’s and Master’s. • I am married and I have two step-daughters; no biological children.

  4. My ethnicity is Mexican, Hispanic, or Latina. • Ethnicity: an ethnic group is a group of people whose members identify with each other through a common heritage, language, culture, or homeland connected to a specific geographical area.

  6. Parking Lot: • Located on the classroom door, this is a place to post questions related to class work or just something you wish to address to me or to the class. I have sticky notes that you can place on the door at the end of class.
