3. Negation with nunca, tampoco, nadie and nada

4. Nunca • Never • Nunca voy a la playa. • I never go to the beach • Can be placed at the end of the sentence if “NO” is in front of the verb. • No voy a la playa nunca. (I don’t go to the beach ever)

5. Tampoco • Neither, not either • Tampoco voy a la piscina. • Neither do I go to the swimming pool. • No voy a la piscina tampoco. • I don’t go to the swimming pool either.

6. Nada • Subject: nothing • Nada es fácil (nothing is easy). • After the verb: not anything • No quiero nada. (I don’t want anything) • You must have “NO” in front of the verb!

7. Nadie • Nobody/no one • Nadie quiere ir al cine. • Nobody wants to go to the movies. • Not anybody/not anyone • No hay nadie aqui. • There is not anyone here. • Nadie me quiere. • Nobody loves me.
