The International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) aims to collect and preserve internet content worldwide. Established with 12 founding members, it opened its membership to libraries, archives, and cultural institutions in 2007. Members contribute to working groups focused on web archiving standards, tools, and techniques. Recent projects include the release of the Wayback 1.0 and updates to various web crawling tools. The IIPC fosters collaboration among global institutions to enhance internet preservation practices and facilitate the development of common standards for digital archiving.
