We learned about Christopher Columbus’ exploration in 1492. Ask your child the names of his ships and who gave him money for his journey? During Red Ribbon Week we will be talking about medicine safety and safety around chemicals at home. Letters/Word Family, Sight Words, Sounds of the Week 10/1- P-T, see, day, I & R 10/7-U-X, is mom, O & G 10/14-Y-Z, -at word family (cat, bat, hat), dad, love, D & S 10/21-an family (can, fan, man), like, of, E & U 10/28-ab family (cab, dab), saw, we, will, L, H, & K We are still practicing counting using ten-frames, and identifying numbers just on dice without counting. We are along working on counting by 2’s and 10’s. We will be also working on identifying shapes –circle, square, rectangle, triangle, rhombus, star, trapezoid, heart, etc. We will also be talking about how to stay safe- with fires, stranger danger, and calling 911. Please practice with your child your home phone number, address and practice what to do incase of a fire.
