  2. Purpose of Conclusions • It briefly summarizes the reasons • It restates youropinion/ position in different words • It should give the reader something to think about

  3. Strategy 1 = Call to Action • The writer tells the audience what to do. As you can see, science is the most popular and useful class in school. Not only is it a class that offers many opportunities to use the sense of tactile, but it also offers a wide variety of choices. When scheduling for the high school, make sure you register for several science classes.

  4. Strategy 2 = Offer a solution • The writer offers a solution and suggests possibilities to resolve a problem. Due to budget cuts, classes need to be eliminated. We need to make sure that science is not one of those classes that are cut. As I have noted, science appeals to different learning styles and the skills learned are often used throughout your lifetime. Encourage your friends to take as many science classes as possible to protect them from the budget cuts.

  5. Strategy 3 = Make a Prediction • The writer makes a prediction in the form of am encouragement or a warning. The field of science encourages life long learning and should not be considered for elimination. If there are less science classes to choose from, it will result in jeopardizing your chances of getting into the college of your choice. As students, you need to get involved by voicing your opinion because your future depends on it!
