  5. The FBI has made cybercrime its number three priority (fbi.gov, 2010), following terrorism and counterintelligence.

  6. As future educators, it is our responsibility to make sure that students are using the internet safely.

If you, as a teacher overhear students discussing meeting someone on a social networking cite and hear details such as: the student receiving presents, meeting in person, or other suspicious signs of a predator, what should you do? • a.   12. Teachers are often asked to be friended by students on a social networking cite. Do you think it is ethical to accept the friend request or should you deny it?

  13. A high school female student had e-mailed a nude picture of herself to her boyfriend, who is also a student. They broke up, and the boyfriend decided to send the picture to classmates. Eventually, the situation was made evident to teachers. How should they handle it? • Punish the students • Notify the police • Involve a student counselor • Call the parents
