Coaching Staff • Head Coach: Danielle Silva • 7 years volleyball coaching experience, 3rd year at DHS, 3rd year as DHS Head Coach, 2 Playoff Berth at DHS, 2012 Bi-District Champions, 24-18 2012 Season Record • Assistant Coaches: • Kalynne Tweedie – 2nd year at DHS • Amanda Byers – 6th year at DHS • Jessica Bradley – 5th year at DHS

  3. Summer League • Extended deadline for incoming freshman till April 26th • $35 cash or cashiers check only. NO personal checks • Dates: June 25,27; July 1,2,16,18,23, 24 • Time: 5-8 • Location: Wakeland High School • Drop off at DHS front office

  4. Volleyball Skills Camp • To help develop each athlete in the 6 basic skills of volleyball: passing, hitting, blocking, setting, serving, and digging. • When: June 17th – 20th • Where: Denton Main Gym • Time: 9am – 12pm • Cost: $65 by June 6th. $75 after June 6th • For: 6th – 9th graders • Turn in MS coaches or drop off at DHS front office

  5. Texas Athletic Performance Training Camp • Strength, speed, agility, reaction, size, quickness, intelligence, and hard work/dedication • Monday – Thursday: 9am-10:30am • Session I: June 10th – 27th • Session II: July 8th – 25th • $30/session aka $60 for entire summer • Cash or cashiers check only. NO personal checks • Due by May 31st Sign up for both or one session. • Location: DHS inside weight room • Turn in MS coaches or drop off at DHS front office

  6. Summer Open Gym • Open gym will run along the weeks with TxAP Camp right after • Time: 10:30am – 12pm • No open gym June 24th – July 7th

  7. Instinct Team Camp • Where: DHS Main Gym • When: July 29th – 31st • Who: 9th – 12th grade • Time: 9am – 12pm • Cost: $90 • More information coming soon.

  8. Physicals • MUST HAVE PHYSICALS IN ORDER TO TRY OUT. • NO PHYSICAL = NO TRYOUTS • If not filled out completely aka missing any signatures no tryouts. • It is suggested that the packet be turned in prior to tryouts to any of the volleyball coaching staff. • THE SOONER THE BETTER!! TRUST ME!

  9. Tryouts • When: August 5th – August 8th • Time: See the Tryout Information form • Tryout attendance is mandatory. No tryout=no team. • Conditioning requirements: 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1 • 1=endline to endline of basketball court. • 1=14sec, 2=28sec, 3=42sec, 4=56sec, 5=70sec • Will run each day. As athletes make each timethe less they will run the next day.

  10. Season Schedule • Coming Soon!! • Just know as of August 5th your life and your daughters life = volleyball. If you have vacation plans, plan them before August 5th. We literally hit the ground running. • Important Dates: • Middle School Tournament ->September 21st • Susan G. Komen Race -> September 29th
