Mr. William Kissam Vanderbilt Jr. March 2 nd 1878 – January 8 th 1944. This is the symbol of Harvard University. William attended Harvard in 1897. He only stayed for 2 years because he met his future wife Virginia Graham Fair. Later they got married. .

  2. This is the symbol of Harvard University. William attended Harvard in 1897. He only stayed for 2 years because he met his future wife Virginia Graham Fair. Later they got married.

  3. This is the Motor Parkway. The parkway started at Farmingdale and ended at lake Ronkonkoma . They had 9 cup races on the parkway. If you won a race, this is the cup you won.

  4. Mr. Vanderbilt was a great man and a role model. Sadly, he died January 8th 1978 of a heart ailment. He will always be remembered for building the Long Island Motor Parkway .
