  2. My Biography Hello friends. I am Collin Basnight. I was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, February 14th, 1998. I moved to Florida when I was two, then moved back to NC at age four. Then at ten, we moved back down here, and we’ve been here ever since. I’m now in eighth grade attending Crystal River Middle School in Crystal River, Florida. My favorite subjects are P.E. and social studies. My favorite hobbies are playing baseball, track, drumming, playing X-Box, Wii, and collecting. This year in art class, we did many projects. I thought the mask project was the best, because it was a cool and fun project. I started off really far behind, but on the last day of working on it, I finished everything and it looks awesome.

  3. Artist I Admire The artist that inspires me is, Dutch Maurits Cornelis Escher. He was born June 17th, 1898, in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. He mostly makes paintings and prints that are made of interesting illusions. Some of his best works are; “Relativity”, “Waterfall”, “Hand with Reflecting Sphere”, “Drawing Hands”, and so many more. He worked mainly in the media of lithographs and woodcuts, which are basically mathematical relationships into art which made extraordinary illusions. He died on March 27th, 1972 at age 73, but his “art illusions” will live on forever inspiring many artists into the future. He displays his artwork in The Escher Museum, in The Hague, The Netherlands.

  4. My Little Painting Thing I chose to do a baseball bat and ball, because I play baseball and I like it.

  5. My Artwork This is my art portfolio in the style of the Tampa Bay Rays’ logo.

  6. This is my hand painting project with my name written backwards, then painted in my favorite colors.

  7. This is my clay architecture project. I did the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arad Emirates.

  8. This is my paper mache project which is a glue stick brand, called, “Stick O’ Glue.”

  9. This is my mask project, “Sport Mania.” There is a baseball bat and a hockey stick on both sides of the mask, and on the mask there is a hockey puck, baseball, and football.

  10. This was where my wire sculpture was supposed to be. I never finished…
