France- Grasse • Grasse is a big town with about 43.848 inhabitants • The region is famous for its temperatures: -Hot in summer -Mild in winter • Special events in region : Cannes festival, Nice carnaval. • The city dates since the Roman Empire, but it originally was a part of Italy until 1482. It wasn’t destroyed neither during WWI nor WWII • The most devastating event(s) : The plague from 1451 and 1470.

It was destroyed durind WWII • There was a concentration camp in Żarki and lots of people died.

  12. France • People think that the French wear a beret, carry a baguette under their arm and drink a lot of wine. • Italians : They are Casanovas. Russians : They drink vodka. British : They drink tea all the time but also beer. Romanians : It's a poor country. They have lots of dark hair. Poland : They are very religious, very serious, and very strict . • The arch enemy of France was England from the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th Century. The 100 Year War lasted more than a century (1337-1453) . • Most immigrants come from North Africa: Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria.

Poland • People think that the Polish they are: lazy ( but sometimes a good workers, “a gold hand”, sly, thieves, drunkards, like to party, hospitable, talkative, impolite, stupid. • Germany - It’s a country of atheists. - Spain. They are “hot” people. A lot of time there is leisure. People have temperament. - France - They are “frog-eaters”. It’s a country of artist. It’s a romantic place. - Romania -they are poor people, they drink lots of alcohol. - Turkey - They do a lot of products which are later sold in Poland.

The most important people in the government : • The President : Nicolas Sarkozy. • Prime Minister : F. Fillon. • - January 1st : New Year's Day : people don't work. The party the night before, on New Year's Eve and usually recover on that day. They do nothing special. - Easter Day : People are off on Easter Day and the following Monday. - DECEMBER 24th: Christmas. Most families set up a Christmas tree and some have a Nativity scene

  16. Poland • People from Poland often emigrate to England. They are going there to work and they make money often better than in Poland. • In my country is democracy politician system. The most important people in our government are : • The President : Lech Kaczyński • Prime Minister : Donald Tusk. • The most popular job for men in Poland is plumber, mechanic and almost all physical jobs, and for woman the most popular is cashier in shops and hairdresser in barbershop. • The most famous university is "Uniwersytet Jagiellonski" in Cracov, because there is high level of teachings and it's an old university with traditions.
