Recent Events in Science Dallas rattled by two earthquakes overnight Read All About It! http://www.examiner.com/article/dallas-rattled-by-two-earthquakes-overnight-1 The Dallas area residents felt they were on the West Coast late Saturday evening when two earthquakes hit the area. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 3.4 magnitude quake near Irving at 11:05 p.m. and four minutes later there was a 3.1 magnitude quake near Loop 12 and Interstate 30.
