Advent Reflections: Preparing the Way for the Lord

In this Advent reflection, Robert P. Maloney, C.M. emphasizes our human condition of longing, hope, and joy. He cites Isaiah (40:3) urging us to prepare for the Lord’s coming. Through calm waiting and trust (Is. 30:15), we find strength, while also acknowledging our responsibility to engage in God’s work on earth. Maloney calls us to live in solidarity with the poor and remain vigilant in prayer, filling our hearts with wonder and joy in anticipation of the Lord. Join this journey of preparation during Advent.
