Project Examples • Communications and Media: LTL Strategies provided a comprehensive set of services, including content development, newsletter development ,and public relations with US Congress and other US government agencies to a White House-based international program. • Monitoring and Evaluation:LTL Strategies has conducted several evaluations of USAID programs, including: entrepreneurial development (South Africa), HIV-AIDS Legal Clinic (Senegal), and food security (Africa-wide). • Trade and Investment: In the year 2002, through an unprecedented international private sector capital mobilization effort,LTL Strategiesmobilized 116 US and Canadian investors and business leaders to participate in a campaign for the financing of the NEPAD.

Project Examples(continued) • Global Advocacy Mapping Project for Microbicides for a Gates Foundation Project of International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) – 2005 • Municipal Financing: For CHF, LTL Strategiesdeveloped a municipal financing strategy for West African cities.Workshop, Bamako, Feb. 2004. Countries involved: Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Mali. LTL produced a publication, and is currently working on follow up mechanisms. • Third Party Evaluation for an African Health Reporting Project for a Gates Foundation funded project of the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) – 2007 • Strategic Planning Facilitation for Africa’s Health in 2010 with the entire Africa Bureau Heath Division of USAID – July/August 2007

LTL Strategies: technical, analytical, and practical expertise in conflict management, including mediation and negotiation, post-conflict reconstruction, preventive mechanisms, and training. • Increasing Sustainable Local Government Service Delivery (ISLGS; 2005-2008; US $30 million). In partnership withLouis Berger International. LTL Strategies: African municipal development, public- private partnerships, and global communications. • Democracy and Governance Analytical, Support, and Implementation Services (2004-2009; US $5 million). In partnership with MSI. LTL Strategies: democratization (from electoral systems to policy and decentralization). Democratization and governance assessments, strategic democratic environmental analyses, political environment surveys, and training for key individual actors, grassroots organizations and other civil society groups, and institutions participating in the democratic process.

  16. US Government Contracts • Support for Accelerated Growth and Increased Competitiveness (SAGIC, 2005-2010, US $95 million). As part of the International Resources Group (IRG) Consortium, LTL Strategies provides business development, policy reform, and management training services for a five-year program designed to promote increased trade and export competitiveness, public-private partnerships that attract private investment for efficient delivery of public goods or services, public policy reforms to improve Senegal’s business environment, and support for democratic and economic reforms. • Evaluation of the Initiative to End Hunger in Africa (IEHA) - USAID, Washington, DC, US $265,000). As the prime contractor, LTL Strategies provided a comprehensive mid-term evaluation to this large inter-agency US Government initiative. IEHA is a US$200 million program covering 11 countries in Africa. • Municipal Wireless Nework (USAID/Senegal, $111,559). As part of the International Resources Group (IRG) Consortium, LTL Strategies provides expertise in conducting a feasibility study, on setting up a Municipal WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) in a selected city outside of Dakar, in procuring the service provider, in preparing the PPP management unit, finalizing the regulatory issues, and in implementing the PPP, and working towards replication in another city.
