What does this look like at GCMS? • One sixth grade team and one seventh grade team • One shared special education teacher • Students will still receive the regular Humanities rotation • Each student will be assigned a Chromebook computer • Summit Learning platform will be used as the digital platform

  10. Project Based Learning • What is Project Based Learning (PBL)? Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge

  11. Personalized Learning Time • Occurs after instruction • Allows student choice and pace • Re-teaching/review • Retest content

  12. Mentoring Time & Goal Setting • Each student will be assigned a teacher • Meet weekly to discuss if previous goal reached • Review work that has been completed and upcoming work • Set new goals for the week

  15. Opportunity Letter was mailed to parents/guardians on Tuesday May 9th Send form back with student by May 19th Notifications will be made by June 2nd
