You are here for at least one or more of the following …You want to: • Feel inspired to be an Organizational Change Management (OCM) professional/practitioner • Explore the OCM profession • Have your voice heard as you have a lot to offer this group • Listen and learn • Challenge yourself to “think differently” about OCM • Leave with a story to help you with your work • Partake of free food and wine

  4. Breakout Sessions • 3 breakout sessions • Split up into 3 teams in the classroom – self organize around topics • Each team will work together (20 minutes) to brainstorm and discuss your topic area • You will then have 10 minutes (team lead) to present/share your summary with the class • NOTE: all virtual attendees can form the “virtual team” – you can work an agreed topic (different than the ones being worked here in class)

  5. Breakout Sessions • Breakout session #1: Change Management – the label and definition • “Change Management – is it time we change the term/label and definition?” • Work as a team and share/collect your thoughts around Change Management – the term/label and the definition. You can improve on an existing term/label and definition or come up with a completely different one. • Breakout session #2: Understanding the WHY • “Research has proven that people’s behaviors are more likely to change when they understand the WHY.” As a team either agree/disagree that this statement is TRUE. Then document your supporting thoughts to back your decision. • Breakout session #3: Storytelling • “A story is a vehicle that puts facts into an emotional context. The information in a story doesn’t just sit there as it would in a list or data dump. Instead, it’s built to create suspense and engage your listener in its call to action.” As a team, identify a few stories that you have used to effectively produce results while practicing Change Management. Pick the best one and be ready to share that with the class.
