The student is expected to: • (A)  determine the purpose(s) for listening such as to get information, to solve problems, and to enjoy and appreciate (K-3); • (C)  participate in rhymes, songs, conversations, and discussions (K-3); • (D)  listen critically to interpret and evaluate (K-3); • (E)  listen responsively to stories and other texts read aloud, including selections from classic and contemporary works (K-3). •  Fine Arts Knowledge and skills. • (1)  Perception. The student develops and organizes ideas from the environment. The student is expected to: • (B)  identify colors, textures, forms, and subjects in the environment. • (3)  Historical/cultural heritage. The student demonstrates an understanding of art history and culture as records of human achievement. The student is expected to: • (C)  relate art to everyday life.

  3. Jack and Jill went up the hillTo fetch a pail of water.

  4. Jack fell down and broke his crown,

  5. And Jill came tumbling after.

  6. Then up got Jack and said to Jill,

  7. As in his arms he took her,

  8. "Brush off that dirt for you're not hurt, let's fetch that pail of water." "Brush off that dirt for you're not hurt, let's fetch that pail of water."

  9. So Jack and Jill went up the hillTo fetch the pail of water,

  10. And took it home to Mother dear,

  11. Who thanked her son and daughter. Thank you!
