Select the appropriate preparation product from the Astec premium prep range including AstecTripleflex 3 in 1 Acrylic Sealer Primer Undercoat for maximum adhesion to all new and aged surfaces.

  5. Concrete Repair &Protection Concrete is alkaline - when new it is alkalinity approaches pH-13 - and it is this alkalinity that prevents any kind of steel reinforcement from corrosion. However, over the years acid gases in the air attack the concrete reducing its alkalinity, thus its ability to protect steel.
