  3. About TV Television (TV) is a widely used telecommunication medium for transmitting and receiving moving images, either monochromatic ("black and white") or colour, usually accompanied by sound. "Television" may also refer specifically to a television set, television programming or television transmission. The word is derived from mixed Latin and Greek roots, meaning "far sight": The television set has become a common communications receiver in homes, businesses and institutions, particularly as a source of entertainment and news.

  4. The Inventor Philo Farnsworth invented the television tube when he was only 14. Philo Taylor Farnsworth, American inventor and pioneer in television technology. Farnsworth developed a television system complete with receiver and camera, but he failed to produce his system commercially.

Also, the TV can be used for education, like the Discovery Kids channel and the National Geographic channel.
