Signature drive with 1 million people in 100 cities • Held in 2004 • Theme: put people first and give top priority to safety • People in 103 cities started at the same day to sign their names • Got enough signatures in a week (originally planned in a month) • The mayor of Qingdao city called for the building of safe cities at the signing ceremony
Work Safety Consultancy Day • On the second Sunday of June every year since 2001 • At every county/city (over 2,600 counties and 300 cities in China) • Joined by nearly 100 million people each year • All relevant government departments are involved, disseminate knowledge to and answer questions from the general public

Safe Community • China has 23 international safe communities (worldwide: 170) designated by WHO Collaborating Center on Community Safety Promotion (by Oct. 2009). • China Occupational Safety and Health Association has designated 124 national safe communities so far.
