PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) The Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) aims to ensure the implementation of public policies in the field of citizenship and the promotion of equality between women and men, and in actions to prevent and fight domestic and gender-based violence and trafficking in human beings. Programme Operator: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG)

PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) CIG was appointed Programme Operator of the Programme Area PT07 in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Portuguese Government and the donor countries (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) on 28 March 2012. The PT07 will addresses some of the main gender equality issues faced in Portugal, with a focus on work-life balance, sexual and moral harassment in the workplace, and women’s participation in decision making bodies.

PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) It consists of three pre-defined projects, two open calls for proposals (1stand 2nd Open-Call) and a small scale funding (Small Grant Scheme). Pre-defined projects: 1. A White Paper “Men’s Roles in Gender Equality Perspective”: CITE- Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment 2. A Research Study on Sexual and Moral Harassment in the Workplace: CITE- Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment 3. A National Survey on Time Use by Men and Women: CESIS- Centre for Studies for Social Intervention

PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) The PO encouraged project level partnership with Donor States entities in the Open-Calls and in the Small Grant Scheme: -In the proposals submitted under these calls, the applicant scored 10 extra points if it declared to establish a partnership with an entity from the Donor States (was necessary to provide a letter of intent signed by both parties). - In the total 12 projects, 10 have a donor project partner.

PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) The Fund for Bilateral Relations of the PT07: The aim of this fund is to strengthen relations between the Donor States and the Beneficiary States to the mutual benefit of the projects and of the programme: 1. Supporting bilateral cooperation of the approved projects 2. Promoting conferences, seminars, workshops and training courses

PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) • Supporting bilateral cooperation of the approved projects: The Project Promoters selected under the Open-Calls and Small Grant Scheme could submit one proposal for a bilateral cooperation initiative under this Fund. Objective: Support activities with a view to exchanging international experiences, sharing and transferring knowledge and good practices to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of the project promoters.

  11. PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) Maximum grant support: maximum grant of 2 000 € / per proposal. Conditions: Each Promoter may only submit one proposal for a bilateral cooperation initiative. Territorial Scope: The activities foreseen in the bilateral cooperation initiatives may take place in Portugal and in the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). • The PO already approved two projects proposals under this Fund, which is still open. • But we are waiting for more proposals!

  12. PT07: Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work‐Life BalancePO: Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) 2. Promoting conferences, seminars, workshops, as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices between project promoters and project partners: • International Seminar: “PARTNERING UP FOR GENDER EQUALITY: Achievements and future steps”- 25.01.2016. This Seminar will provide an arena for presenting bilateral cooperation. • In 2017, the PO will organize a final seminar informing the general public and the key stakeholders about the results and impact of the PT07.
