  4. About Me! • I HAVE BEEN TEACHING FOR 30 YEARS. • I HAVE TAUGHT PRESCHOOL, 1ST, 2ND, 3RD AND 6TH GRADES. • THIS IS MY 13TH YEAR AT PLAZA VISTA. BEFORE COMING TO PLAZA VISTA, I TAUGHT AT VISTA VERDE, SPRINGBROOK AND EL TORO MARINE SCHOOL. • I HAVE TAUGHT 6TH GRADE MATH, LANGUAGE ARTS, HISTORY AND SCIENCE. • I AM NOT MARRIED AND DO NOT HAVE ANY CHILDREN. • I LIVE IN LAKE FOREST. • I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE ANY PETS  • I LOVE BASEBALL AND THE YANKEES!

  5. Supplies The tissues and disinfecting wipes we will keep in the classroom. You will need to set up your notebook with tabs (I will let you know what to label), lined paper and graph paper. Keep extra paper at home so you can replenish your notebook. All of your pencils, pens, scissors, erasers, colored pencils etc. will need to be in a pencil pouch in either your notebook or backpack. REMEMBER… you may keep your things in the desk while you are in each class. At the end of each class, all items must be taken with you to the next class.

  17. We will spend a lot of time this year talking about PRIDE. We will also talk about PBIS. This stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. On Thursday, we will have our PBIS rotations. During this time we will visit different parts of the school and discuss positive behaviors in each area.

  18. Your School Planner • Your responsibility is to use the school planner or another type of planner to keep track of your homework, tests, other assignments and important dates. • It is not enough to just write a page number. You must include dates due (especially for long-term projects). • Have your planner everyday! • Take the time to write in it for all classes. Use the webpage as a back-up plan. • Do not draw or scribble all over your planner. That takes away from the importance of the planner.
