Executive Summary • Summary statement of the entire proposal • Summarize Statement of Need • Summarize Project Description and how it will address the need • Summarize Budget Request • Summarize Organizational Capability 1 Page
Statement of Need • Explains why there is a need for the project. • What is the problem? • What is the cause of the problem? • Who and how many people are affected by the problem? • Provide Quantifiable and Qualitative data. • Is the problem relevant to the Mission of the organization? 1 Page
Project Description • Objectives • Methodology/Activities • Staffing/Administration • Evaluation/Monitoring Four Sections5 Pages
Objectives Provide tangible, specific, concrete, measurable and achievable objectives
Methodology/Activities • How will activities be performed? • When will activities be performed? • Why will these activities be utilized? • How will activities be coordinated between and among Consortium members?
Staffing/Administration • Provide the total number of project staff and job descriptions for each? • Provide roles and responsibilities of each project staff member? • Describe how the project will be administered • Describe the Project Reporting processes and timing
Evaluation/Monitoring • How, who, and when will evaluation be performed and reported? • How, who, and when will monitoring be performed and reported?
Budget • Financial description of the project, a detailed budget and budget narrative including: • Personnel (salaries, fringe benefits, etc) • Consultants (fees, travel, hotel, per diem, etc.) • Travel/Transportation (Program-related) • Training (fees, rents, materials, etc.) • Procurement of Supplies/Commodities (Program-related supplies) • Operational Costs (rent, communications, utilities, office supplies, etc.) • Capital Assets (assets with unit value of $500 USD or more) • Monitoring and Evaluation (audit fees, evaluation fees, etc.) • Clear description of any matching or in-kind contribution. 2-3 pages
Organization Information • Provide the history and governing structure of the non-governmental organization, including: • The organization's mission statement • Brief organizational and program-related history • The structure and registration documentation of the organization-Organo-gram and registration Docs in Appendixes. • Demonstrate the capability of the organization and it's organizational strength 2 Pages
Conclusion • Summary of the proposal's main points • Provide details about the follow-on activities and future of the project beyond the project period 2 Paragraphs
