  4. A template is a formatted document that contains placeholders, which you replace with your own text. The advantage to templates is that it allows you to quickly create common documents without having to start from scratch. Simply choose to create a new document and instead of selecting blank document, choose the template type you would like to use. Using Templates

Word remembers the editing and formatting changes you make so that you can easily reverse or repeat them. • Undo – reverse the last action. • Undo a series of actions by selecting the arrow to the side of the button and choosing the action you want to reverse. • Redo – keep a reversed change • Repeat – Duplicate an action you just completed Undo, Redo, and Repeat

  6. Views = ways of displaying a document in the document window Print Layout = Displays a document as you would see it on a printed page. Draft = A simplified layout without margins, headers, or graphics Full Screen Reading = Displays document text so that it is easy to read and annotate Document Views

  7. Web Layout = format web pages and documents what will be viewed primarily on a computer screen. • Outline = Allows you to reorganize text by moving headings. • Shows heading and subheadings Document Views
