  2. State Provided Growth Measures in 2012-13 • Grades 4-8 ELA and Math will receive the score from the state • Everyone else= SLO (Student Learning Objective)

  3. What Does A SLO Comprise Of? • Student Population • Learning Content • Interval of Instructional Time

  4. SLO is 20% of a teacher's composite score • This is in place of the NYS generated score. • Only grade 4-8 math and ELA receive the state score at this time.

  5. Extra supervision in the lunch room? • John would love some help in the cafeteria. • June 11 and 12 will be the big days for increased supervision. • We have had lots of success in preventing issues in the past and we would like to keep the good behavior rolling until the end of the year. Please help if you are able.

  6. No unnecessary travel • Students need to stay in your room unless it is absolutely necessary for them to leave. • Students must have a pass to travel during dear and encore.

  7. Please be reminded that Arrival time is at or before 7:50 a.m.

  8. End of the year check-list. • We will have summer school here. Take your precious items home. • Summer CSE meetings sign up with Joyce if you would like to work during the summer. • Failures lists are due to guidance 24 hours following your exam. Prioritize your grading. • Banking: all monies must be turned in to Linda Steen prior to check-out.

  9. Supply Orders • New this year, look up items at staples.com and add in what you need. Linda will send out the order sheets soon. • Requisitions due to Linda Steen by June 22

  10. Textbook recycling • Linda Steen will email the form • Books will be collected June 20 in the afternoon

  11. Locker Clean Out During Encore Periods • Thursday grade 7 • Friday grade 6 • Monday grade 8

  12. Best Practices for Proctoring • Walk around the room to observe students • Do not use the computer while proctoring • Do not read or correct papers • Regents Exam Prohibited Conduct: defining or explaining words for a student, commenting on a student's answer • http://www.p12.nysed.gov/apda/hsgen.

  13. Optional team meeting • Grades 7 and 8 Math, Science, ELA and Social Studies team assignments • Sped will have individual meetings to discuss changes • Wednesday, June 6 after school in room 121
