  3. Homework Zone 3:05- 3:20 Snack Time 3:20-4:00 Homework Zone 1. All students check in with planners 2. Each room has licensed staff member and assistant. 3. Planners are signed each day documenting completed assignments. 4. Students earn stickers for positive homework behavior

Family Day – On early out Wednesdays, students work together in “Families” led by 8th grade students. thank you!!! we could all be equalloving to each other i everyday pray that God enable me to reach onpoint of meeting with these orphans and they see on you.Its amazing that now we have nick named you "our grandfather inAmerica" When i see what you are doing for us i shed tears you lovethese children like their father you have done what my fellow brothersand sisters cannot do God bless.Yesterdaywhen i left town i reached on the children home lately i reached therewith 20 kilograms of maize flour when they saw me they though that maybe i have come with any soup when they welcomed me i cried we sharedposho and Little beans then we had Raking Competitions Movies Orphans in Uganda Bowling

  7. PBIS What happens if I don’t follow the ASP/PS Behavior Plan? 1st Warning – I will meet with Mr. Windey and Mrs. Carpenter. They will complete a purple office referral. 2nd Warning- I will meet with Mr. Windey and Mrs. Carpenter. They will complete a second purple office referral and inform administration. 3rd Warning – I will meet with my parents, Mr. Windey and Mrs. Carpenter. I will not be able to attend ASP/PS until after this meeting takes place. 4th Warning- I will no longer be able to attend ASP/PS. PBIS or Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports is a program that provides an organizational approach or framework for improving the social behavior climate of the school and supporting or enhancing the impact of academic instruction on achievement and increasing proactive (positive / preventive) management. WE ENCOURAGE, PROMOTE, AND ACKNOWLEDGE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR.

  8. Celebrations! Each month students are recognized for being Star Students, Star Families, Star bus students, and for exemplifying the character traits of Pride, Respect, and Responsibility.

  10. In the works… Mural – work either with local artists or Middle School art teacher to compete an ASP/PS mural. History Day Competition – work with SMSU history club to complete history day projects. Lyon County Library program – work with Lyon County library to create programs for ASP/PS students. Legacy Funds – apply for Legacy Fund grant to pay for field trip to Lake Shetek in honor of 150th anniversary of the Dakota Conflict. Kiwanis – working with the new Kiwanis organization on community service projects. SMSU – Working with SMSU clubs.
