  5. Ion Basgan Chronology RO patent 22’789 On June 30, 2009 the Rumanian State / PETROM SA was sued in the court of Bucharest (File 28378/13/2009) by Ion I. Basgan Jr. – as “single heir”, for past infringement, based on OUG100/2005 and the law 214/2008. The claim is EUR 1.2 billon. The quality of “single heir” of Ion I. Basgan Jr. was contested in the court (File 26030/299/2009 – August 8, 2009) by the others two sons and the surviving wife of the inventor Ion Basgan, with suspensory effect regarding the above mentioned law suit.
