The Road to the Historicon Awards In 2008 the HMGS EAST BoD authorized funding for a “HISTORICAL MINIATURES GAMING INDUSTRY AWARDS PROGRAM.” An Awards Committee established Rules and Procedures for nomination and selection based on input from the Charles Roberts Awards™ and the Origins Awards™. 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon

  3. 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon HISTORICON™ AWARDS PURPOSE HMGS The HMGS HISTORICON™ AWARDS are intended to: (a) Recognize excellence and prominence in the Historical Gaming Industry. (b) Provide product exposure and marketing stimulus for the Historical Gaming Industry.

  4. 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon HISTORICON™ AWARDS ENTRY HMGS • ELIGIBILITY: All Historical Gaming Industry products released during the calendar year (2008). • SUBMISSION: An Entry Form and product samples must be submitted to Awards Chair within one week after Cold Wars.

HISTORICON™ AWARDS CATEGORIES 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon HMGS • “Historical Miniatures Gaming … ” • Figure Line of the Year • Vehicle Line of the Year • Terrain Line of the Year • Game of the Year • Game Expansion of the Year • Reference Publication of the Year • “Advanced Guard” Award

  6. Historical Miniatures Gaming “Advanced Guard Award” Historical Gaming Industry Productsselected by both Historicon Awards Juries to recognize “significant unique or innovative products promoting the Historical Miniatures Gaming Hobby and Industry.”

HISTORICON™ AWARDS NOMINATIONS 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon HMGS • The “Miniatures Jury” solicits entries and selects • five nominees for Historical Miniatures Gaming • (1) Figure(2) Vehicle and (3) Terrain Lines • The “Publications Jury” solicits entries and selects • five nominees for Historical Miniatures Gaming • (1) Game(2) Game Expansion (3) Reference Publication • Each Nominee Receives a “Silver Star” Award.”

HISTORICON™ AWARDS SELECTION 25th Anniversary - 2009 Historicon HMGS • VOTING:HISTORICON™ Attendees vote from a ballot (one per badge) listing all Nominees. • PROMOTION: Companies may cite or use “HISTORICON™ Award Nominee” logo on the product and in advertising. HMGS will promote product and company information in HMGS Website, HMGS Mailings, Convention Programs, and Awards Display Case at HISTORICON™.

HISTORICON™ AWARDS WINNERS • WINNERS:The HISTORICON™ Awards • will be announced and presented during the Annual HMGS Awards Program at HISTORICON™. • PROMOTION: Companies may cite or use “HISTORICON™ Award Winner” and logo on the product and in advertising.
