  1. Picture This! • Ricardo has 4 friends over and his mom bakes 4 pizzas for them to have for lunch. Which part of a fraction will each friend get for lunch. Explain your thinking or justify with a model.

  2. Picture This Possible Solution Ricardo thinks 4 friends and myself equal a total of 5 friends sharing 4 pizzas. He decides to draw out 4 pizzas and divide them in to 4 equal parts. What did Ricardo conclude by drawing a model? Explain your reasoning?

  3. Picture This! 4. Angelina is baking cupcakes for a party. If she bakes 6 pans of cupcakes and uses 3 cups of chocolate chips in the recipe, what fraction of chocolate chips will be in each pan of cupcakes? Justify your thinking with a model.

  6. Picture This Possible Solution This student thinks I have 176 students + 8 teachers + 4 chaperones. That equals 188/80 or 188 divided by 80 passengers per bus. Bus 1 Bus 2 Bus 3 80 + 80 160 + 28 We need 3 buses to accommodate 188 total passengers.
