  3. Traffic Monitoring Workshops • First Baltic Master Traffic Monitoring workshop was organized on 11-12th May 2006 at Maritime Office Gdynia venue. • Draft guidelines for the National SafeSeaNet systems are prepared • Zero Tolerance” rule for Baltic Sea in relation to traffic was proposed

Conclusions: • It is possible to apply AIS devices on board of small vessels and yachts • AIS is an efficient monitoring tool • Forecast on the communication density should be performed for AIS • New technologies to provide constant and efficient access to the web services were researched • Vessel routes on the Southern Baltic were prepared

  5. SafeSeaNet – Directive 2002/59/EC • Are we satisfied? • Do we use it frequently? • Is it reliable? • Can we change our approach? • Can the system be changed? • Exchange of data with the other member state
