"A ruler who obeys God and does right 4is like the sunrise on a cloudless day, or like rain that sparkles on the grass."

  24. 2 samuel 23: 1-7 5I have ruled this way, and God will never break his promise to me. God's promise is complete and unchanging; he will always help me and give me what I hope for. 6But evil people are pulled up like thornbushes.

  25. 2 samuel 23: 1-7 They are not dug up by hand,   7but with a sharp spear and are burned on the spot.  This is the Word of the Lord C: Thanks be to God

  27. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R:3"I won't go home or crawl into bed 4or close my eyelids, C:   5until I find a home for you, the mighty LORD God of Jacob."

  28. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R: 6When we were in Ephrath, we heard that the sacred chest was somewhere near Jaar. C: 7Then we said, "Let's go to the throne of the LORD and worship at his feet."

  29. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R: 8Come to your new home, LORD, you and the sacred chest with all of its power. C: 9Let victory be like robes for the priests; let your faithful people celebrate and shout.

  30. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R: 10David is your chosen one, so don't reject him. 11You made a solemn promise to David, when you said, "I, the LORD, promise that someone in your family will always be king. C: 12If they keep our agreement and follow my teachings, then someone in your family will rule forever."

  31. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R: 13You have gladly chosen Zion as your home, our LORD. C: 14You said, "This is my home! I will live here forever. R: 15I will bless Zion with food, and even the poor will eat until they are full. C: 16Victory will be like robes for the priests, and its faithful people will celebrate and shout.

  32. Psalm: 123: 1 - 18 CEV R: 17I will give mighty power to the kingdom of David. Each one of my chosen kings will shine like a lamp C: 18and wear a sparkling crown. He is coming with the clouds.

  36. Revelation 1: 4b – 8 cev Everyone will see him, even the ones who stuck a sword through him. All people on earth will weep because of him. Yes, it will happen! Amen. 8The Lord God says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the one who is and was and is coming. I am God All-Powerful!“ This is the Word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God.

  37. gospel John 5:21-29 The Son's authority to judge and to save  M: The Holy Gospel is written in Chapter 5 of the gospel according to St John beginning at verse 21. C: Glory to you, O Lord.

  38. John 5: 21 – 29 CEV 1Just as the Father raises the dead and gives life, so the Son gives life to anyone he wants to. 22The Father doesn't judge anyone, but he has made his Son the judge of everyone.   23The Father wants all people to honour the Son as much as they honour him.

  39. John 5: 21 – 29 CEV When anyone refuses to honour the Son, that is the same as refusing to honour the Father who sent him.   24I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned. They have already gone from death to life.

  40. John 5: 21 – 29 CEV 25I tell you for certain that the time will come, and it is already here, when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen to it will live!   26The Father has the power to give life, and he has given that same power to the Son.   27And he has given his Son the right to judge everyone, because he is the Son of Man.

  41. John 5: 21 – 29 CEV 28Don't be surprised! The time will come when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Man,   29and they will come out of their graves. Everyone who has done good things will rise to life, but everyone who has done evil things will rise and be condemned. This is the Gospel of the Lord C: Praise to you on Christ.
