(US : a toothache)

LESSON B Grammar: Articles and Simple Tenses Articles An illness that is not serious is a countable noun : a cold, a sore throat, a headache, however, toothache, earache, stomachache and backache are often used as uncountable nouns in American English • I’ve got a horrible cold. • Have you got a headache? • Dara has a scratch on her hand.
