  5. Usos… Serán las dos. It’s probably 2:00. Me imagino que estará aquí. I imagine that he is here. Suponemos que tendrán tarea. We suppose that they have hw.

  6. 3. “If” clauses and the future The future is often used with si + a verb in the present tense. Ex: Si viajas al espacio, ¿tendrás que comer comida especial? Otros usos: Juan dice que irá. Sé que te llamarán

  8. El Condicional • Es la misma idea que el futuro, pero tiene terminaciones diferentes. ¡Tiene la terminación del imperfecto de verbos er/ir! --ía -- ías -- ía --íamos -- íais -- ían ¿Qué? ¡Esto es loco!

  10. Los usos… • “would” Iría a Acme. I would go to Acme. • Probability in the past Serían las dos. It was probably 2. Me imagino que estaría aquí. Supongo que tendrían tarea.

  11. (2.) Expresa “probabilidad” • También se usaparaexpresar la probabilidad del pasado. Se usamás: estar, haber, ser y tener. Ejm: Sería la una. It was probably one o’clock. Habríaalgunasdificultades. There were probably some difficulties. El niñotendríanueveaños. The boy was probably 9 years old.

  13. (4.) “if” clauses • Es la cláusula principal si la frase tiene “si” (if) y el imperfecto del subjuntivo. (expresa “contrary-to-fact”) Ejm: Si Elena saliera, yo saldría también. If Elena were to leave, I’d leave too.

  14. El imperfecto del subjuntivo 1. 3era persona del pret. Plural • Quita el –ron • Escribe: --ra --ramos --ras --rais --ra --ran
