Spinouts and Startups ERDF Award: £383k Scottish Executive SEEKIT Programme £574k • Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network • The project aims to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of graduates of the University of Strathclyde by extending the existing student entrepreneurial network to include alumni, staff and friends. ERDF Award £550k • Chief Executives Elect for spin-outs • University appoints CEO elect for six months prior to company formation Note that Chancellor’s has announced Government's intention to include in the Pre Budget Report a measure to remove the tax barrier to university spinouts. This should remove the Schedule 22 provision as applied to University spinouts from 2nd December
