Naturalism-A type of literature that attempts to apply SCIENTIFIC (psychology and sociology) Principles of OBJECTIVITY to its study of human beings. Naturalists believed who wrote from the perspective that “human behavior was determined beyond an individual’s power, especially BIOLOGY and ENVIORNMENT” (394). Naturalistic characters generally are at the mercy of the NATURAL LAWS of THE UNIVERSE and are ”UNABLE to control their OWN DESTINIES” (394)Themes about: 1.
