SCICEX: Past Achievements and Future Opportunities for Arctic Research

The SCICEX program aims to deepen our understanding of the Arctic using US Navy nuclear submarines to collect unclassified scientific data. This seminar, led by Dale Chayes from LDEO/CU, highlights key SCICEX events from 1993 to 1999, discusses the importance of submarines as effective research platforms in ice-covered waters, and outlines the status of ongoing scientific efforts.
